Mr. Hodge has been at VHCA since the fall of 2001. After graduating from the State University of New York, College at Oneonta with a B.S. in Elementary Education, he was hired as the 1st and 2nd grade teacher.  Mr. Hodge taught these classes from 2002 – 2012 until he was asked to consider filling a void in the high school history department. Upon his acceptance, Mr. Hodge taught the high school history classes from 2012-2014, when he then moved into administration. Mr. Hodge is currently the administrator, while remaining in the classroom for Geography, Bible, and Yearbook.

Mr. Hodge is married to Jennifer (Vidler) Hodge, a 1999 graduate of VHCA. He and his wife reside in Norwich with their three children Morgan, Adrienne, and Taylor. Mr. Hodge enjoys playing basketball and showing dairy cattle at local fairs throughout New York State with his family.

Mrs. Wier and her family reside in Norwich. She is married to Todd and has 3 children, Allison, Owen, and Parker, all who currently attend VHCA. She joined the staff at Valley Heights as the Office Secretary during the summer of 2009. She grew up attending Holmesville Baptist Church and graduated from Holmesville Christian Academy. She and her family currently attend Calvary Baptist Church and looks forward to being involved with the children’s ministry.

Mrs. Wier has a diverse background in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Customer Service, and Office Management from previous positions at MeadWestvaco in Sidney and the Chenango County Chamber of Commerce in Norwich. She is also a registered Notary Public.

Mrs. Wier is really excited to have the opportunity to serve the parents, students and staff at VHCA. The Lord has prepared her with the knowledge and experience she has to meet the current needs of this position, as well as provided her with additional skills that might be of use in the future as the school continues to grow.

Mrs. Rebecca Lewandowski was born and raised in Norwich, New York. She attended Valley Heights from K-4 through 12th grade. Mrs. Lewandowski attended Clarks Summit University (formerly known as Baptist Bible College) where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. In July of 2015, she married Dustin Lewandowski. They recently purchased a home in Leonardsville. In her free time, Mrs. Lewandowski enjoys playing with their dog Mindy, boating, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. She is looking forward to seeing how God uses her at Valley Heights!

Mrs Lyons was raised in Smyrna, New York. She lived in Tennessee and Pennsylvania for a time, but through God’s leading and several life-changing experiences, moved back to NY. Having grown up through Calvary Baptist and being an alumnus of Valley Heights, she was excited to accept the 1st and 2nd grade teaching position. She received a Counseling degree from Baptist Bible College and a degree in Early Childhood Education from Morrisville State College.

In her free time, Mrs Lyons loves to read, spend quality time with family and friends, and enjoy the outdoors. She would love to travel more too. She is excited about what God has in store for her time at VHCA and hopes to gain much experience as she helps her students learn and grow both academically, and in the grace and knowledge of our Lord.

Mrs. VanDeLinde was born and raised in southern New Jersey and is the oldest of three children. She received a Christian education from kindergarten through the 12th grade. After high school, Mrs. VanDeLinde earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania.

Mrs. VanDeLinde is recently married and she thoroughly enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She loves teaching and counts it a privilege to be able to share God’s love and His Word with her students! She has been a great asset to our elementary program!

Mrs. Lowie grew up in Endicott, NY. She graduated from Potsdam College with a degree in Mathematics and a minor in Business Economics. She lived in Maryland for a few years and worked in the banking industry before returning to New York. She then worked at BF Goodrich Aerospace in various areas including being a Cost Accountant. The next few years were spent as a stay-at-home mom while filling in at BF Goodrich as needed. Her summers were spent working for the SYETP program in Norwich for at-risk youth.

Mrs. Lowie came on staff at VHCA four years ago as our 5th and 6th grade teacher, but has been a part of the school ministry since her children entered school. Along with teaching at VHCA, Mrs. Lowie also serves as the assistant librarian and the assistant financial secretary for Calvary Baptist Church.

Mr. Bowker has been involved in Christian Education for nearly 35 years. Raised in the hills outside of Walton and saved at 16, he went on to earn degrees from St. Lawrence University and SUNY Binghamton. During his teaching career, he has served the Lord at schools in Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York.

He and his wife Darlene have three grown children and three grandchildren, and live in Binghamton. When not ministering at school or in his church, Bob enjoys reading and writing, and has published magazine articles, a play, and a collection of short stories. He enjoys hunting, golf, NY Yankees baseball, and Southern Gospel music.

Mrs. Brooks has lived in Norwich all of her life and has attended Calvary Baptist Church from a very young age. She graduated from Norwich High School and went to Cedarville University. Joan graduated from Cedarville with a major in Mathematics, a double minor in Bible and Science and a teaching degree in Secondary Education.

Mrs. Brooks met her husband Len while teaching Junior Church together at Calvary. They have been married for 21 years with four children, Jen, Kyle, Ryan, and Zack. She has been teaching at VHCA for the last 25 years. In that time she has taught a wide variety of classes. Joan has also been the senior class advisor. She enjoys reading, swimming, doing puzzles and just spending time with her family.

Mrs. Davis is a graduate of Holmesville Christian Academy. She has been involved in various children’s ministries through her church for many years. Before coming to Valley Heights Mrs. Davis ran a Day Care from her home for ten years. She joined the staff at Valley Heights in 2006 as the facilitator of the Spanish and Chemistry classes. Her current possession as Teacher’s Assistant includes facilitating Spanish and Computer classes as well as assisting in each of our elementary classrooms.

Mrs. Davis married her husband Brent and moved to Norwich in 1992. She has four daughters, Tiffany a 2014 graduate of VHCA, and Amanda, Emily, and Hannah who are currently attending VHCA. Growing up she lived in Otego, Unadilla, and Rockdale NY, and for a short time Longview TX.

Mrs. Gieger grew up in the hills of Pennsylvania on a small beef farm. She gave her heart to Jesus Christ in grade school and got assurance of her salvation later in high school. She was privilege to graduate from a Christian school and be involved in a fundamental Bible preaching church. She got her bachelor’s degree in Middle School Education (Math and Science) from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC.

VHCA took Mrs. Gieger on staff in the fall of 2013 and she was married in the summer of 2014 to Matt Gieger. She enjoys camping, playing sports, reading, and making cards.
